  2. Provide teams with a set of standard data components, common assembly method and authoring tools.

The CHORAL platform and methodology

  3. An agile implementation method supported by simple authoring tools.
  4. Powerful visualization capabilities enabled by Vega-Lite.

Data modeling approach

Data is managed as a product and is subdivided into Domains.

Each domain is led by a team that curates and publishes information & analytics for re-use by other teams. The overall approach is to decentralize data ownership while keeping it connected across the enterprise using data governance and modelling methods.

  • Fact catalogs: describing lists of items (people, things, concepts)
  • Fact journals: containing time-stamped data such as transactions and events
